Doing what other classes, books, and apps haven’t
Oh my goodness! I know my major scales now, and I can do them quickly too. I am throughly surprised about this – I am terrible at memorization, but turning it into edutainment. It took me 5 days of 15 minute sessions of games and I mastered the level getting the high score of 1400! This has made basic music fun to me and you have no idea how grateful I am now.
It’s good for drills
I used to play and hated the drills. This is a good and simple app to use with my kids to not repeat my suffering.
Great Training Tool!
We’ve been working on a real keyboard for awhile and this is still really useful. The kids are excited to “play” on the iPad and the process with this app makes the learning fun and very clear. Great to have a portable practice method!
The best so far
I’ve tried a bunch of music apps and some of them are okay. But this is by far the best. It’s easy to understand and more fun than the other ones. And I’m definitely learning the notes. Totally worth it.
The best so far
This app will be a fun drill practice for my competitive theory students! The “PianoHead Challenge” was fun for the teacher, too! I wish the scales were spelled differently on the staves. The “a flat” harmonic minor scale, for instance, was spelled A flat, B flat, B (instead of C flat), D flat, E flat, E (instead of F flat), G, and A flat.
I’d love to see qualities (major, minor, perfect, dim, aug) added to the interval section. I really like that you can change the octave designation on the keyboard in the note identification section. I plan on using this app a lot!
I like it. I am first with my 77 years beginning with piano lessons.
We have a Steinway too but I never have played piano before like my wife and children . But it is never too late to learn something new.
